I would differentiate between [1]/[2] and [3]/[4]
[1] http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc08/msg00334.html
> You are lying. It is unbelievable that you are blatantly lying like
> this on this list.
[2] http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc08/msg00341.html
> Why are you reposting information that you know to be false?
>
> Why don't you try posting the truth?
>
> You are such an unbelivable liar and a fraud.
[1] and [2] accuse Stuart Lynn in strong words of deliberately
posting untruthful information. These two postings constitute
inappropriate personal attacks.

The content of [3] and [4] is not objectionable, but the
language is: The Merriam-Webster online dictionary calls
both "BS" and "(to) kiss ass" vulgar. However, personal
attacks are more serious.
So here's my proposed warning:
-------------------------------------------------------
Dear Russ,
The list monitors for the General Assembly (GA) of the DNSO
have issued this warning to you concerning complaints received
about the following posts:
[1] http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc08/msg00334.html
[2] http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc08/msg00341.html
[3] http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc08/msg00374.html
[4] http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc08/msg00363.html
In postings [1] and [2] you have accused the recipient
(Stuart Lynn) in strong words of deliberately posting
untruthful information. ("You are lying. It is unbelievable
that you are blatantly lying like this on this list.", "You
are such an unbelivable liar and a fraud.) These two postings
constitute inappropriate personal attacks.
According to the rules for participation in the GA of the DNSO
http://www.dnso.org/dnso/notes/2000.GA-ga-rules.html
the messages must observe a minimum of decorum, including:
- Not indulging in personal attacks, insults or slander
- Not using offensive language
If this happens again, the practiced policy of the GA is to
grant a two week suspension of your posting privileges.
Please also keep clear of vulgar expressions such as the
ones used in [3] ("this BS") and [4] ("kiss their asses").
Thanks!
Best regards,
[Kristy or Alexander for the list monitors]
