RE: [nc-budget] REQUEST TO BUDGET COMMITTEE
Roger, I see no reason to incur additional costs -- a number of security
experts are expected to attend and there will be numerous opportunities to
learn, etc.
The GA should, along with the Constituencies, take advantage of the
briefings and information which will be provided.
I don't see any reason to support this request from the GA's chair.

Subject: [nc-budget] REQUEST TO BUDGET COMMITTEE
As you know, we have the authority to authorize expenditures of up to
$5,000, although no funds were budgeted for this purpose.
Rather than immediately attempt to schedule a Budget Committee meeting on
this request, as a first step I'd like to ask you to let me know what you
think of it.
Thanks

Subject: [council] Speakers' expenses
De*ar Budget Committee,
If the General Assembly invites security specialists to speak at its working
group session in Marina del Rey, would such speakers' expenses be covered by
the DNSO, or by ICANN, or would they not be covered? Will the budget allow
for such contingencies?
