Re: [ga-abuse] abusive behavior by Jim Fleming

Dear Joe

As you know the list monitors have always responded to complaints about
postings which breach the list rules as stated at
http://www.dnso.org/dnso/notes/2000.GA-ga-rules-v0.4.html

The two rules that people usually use are "excessive postings" or "personal
attacks, insults and slander". Other rules cover "message size" and
"relevance" etc.

Whilst Jim Fleming's post usually proomote the IPv8 scheme in some way, it
is difficult to accept that they are not "relevant" as might be the case in
a posting about "bee-keeping" or other unrelated topic. However, I can
assure you that Jim Fleming has been cautioned about his approach.

Should you find a particular posting that you believe breaches the list
rules, I would appreciate your assistance in relating the complaint to the
particular rule it is breaching. This will better allow the list monitors
to determine the issue. It would also assist if you would reference the
offensive words.

Whilst we would like to maintain list propriety, there is not really enough
justification in relation to Jim Fleming's current crop of postings.
However, should you identify a particular posting which you see as crossing
that line, we will examine the matter again.

We sympathise with your concerns but really need a strong case to act.

Best regards
Patrick Corliss
