Re: [ga-abuse] Complaint Against Eric Dierker

Hi Bruce

I think we agreed that it was reasonable to ask the person against whom a
complaint is being made if they have anything they would like to say about
their post.

In this case I have no objection to you releasing my name as the
complainant. However, there have been many occasions when the complainant
has not been the person insulted and where they might expect their identity
to be kept confidential.

It would be better if the list monitors simply forward a copy of the
offending post without revealing details of the complainant. I'd suggest a
message along the following lines:

The List Monitors have received a complaint in respect of your recent
posting alleging that it breaches the General Assembly list rules as
described on the DNSO website at
http://www.dnso.org/dnso/notes/2000.GA-ga-rules-v0.4.html

Before considering this complaint we would ask whether you wish to make any
comment about the allegedly offending posting (shown below).

Does anybody mind if we adopt this procedure in future complaints?

Best regards
Patrick Corliss
