Hey guys,

I don't know what works in this situation. It seems like work is starting
to happen out there and the insults have been toned way down (except for
the messenger who kept tossing herself out there to get shot at.) I think
we do need to respond to all those complaints and appreciate it is not
necessary to hand out suspensions even if a prior warning has been
issued. A fair amount of leniency is definitely required whereas strength
in communication is also.

As long as we make it clear that it is not our policy to accept apologies
after inflammatory remarks have been publicly posted in order to keep
members from earning embarrassing informational reference points on a
public Internet, I am more than happy to accept a note of apology shortly
after a remark has been made, rather than nothing or being harassed. I
have a lot of respect for people who stand by their words and actions and
especially those who have integrity and acknowledge a mistake by exhibiting
willingness to correct it without be asked and also when responding
positively when asked; and yet, I do not know what best works in this
situation. I want to be fair to everyone, no matter how unrealistic that
sounds when I read it aloud, it is how I feel...

In response to using templates; however, yes let's do use templates. I'd
even be willing to add functionality for that to the CTS at a later date.
