Thank you for your comments. I don't have an opion on your suggestion as of
yet, but I do have a question.

Do you accept that if the registrant were to explicitly request cancelation
that the registrar would put that through immediately? For example, your
suggested recommendation might then read:

Domain names must be deleted on the 45th day following the expiration of
the registration agreement between the registrar and registrant, unless the
agreement is renewed or explicitly canceled by the registrant.
