[liaison7c] Resent: new members added to liaison7c@dnso.org list

Dear All,

Maca and Dany messages reminded me that liaison7c@dnso.org list
needed some adjustements (updates of AdCom at ccTLD and Rita
Mensah from NCDNH secretariat - just done).
En passant: this list was made up by known to myself 7 Constituencies
secretariats or Administrative Contacts with the goal to initiate
information exchange between Constituencies. Any improvements are
welcome.

Let's start with Maca and Dany message, and let me add
the ccTLD issues for the current ICANN year:
1. the agreement between ICANN and US Governement extended for
   one year http://www.icann.org/announcements/icann-pr04sep00.htm
lists several tasks to be completed, the most important for us is
"establishment of stable arrangements between ICANN and
the organizations responsible for the operation of
   country-code TLDs (ccTLDs)."
2. ICANN considers that ccTLD shall financially participate at 35%
of the whole budget, and expects it will somewhat happen

The ccTLD group is the most international one. The only respectable
means of work are over email (visas and financial hurdles added to
the usual ones), and in much slower manner.
The ccTLD issues are very complex ones, and the Internet is and will
be strongly impacted by them.

How do you envisage the relationship of your constituencies
with ccTLDs ?

Best regards,
Elisabeth

| On behalf of the NCDNHC, I would be certainly interested by pursuing these
| discussions, first through e-mail and at the LA meeting
