Director, Internet Society - Australian Chapter
Member:  ICANN Working Group E


Domain name registration is core business for Melbourne IT.  
As Corporate Relations Manager, Melbourne IT, Erica Roberts has a good
knowledge of the strategic and other issues facing members of the Registrar
constituency.  She represents the interests of Melbourne IT on National,
Regional and International bodies involved in the development and
administration of the domain name system.

Before joining Melbourne IT in Sep 1999, Erica worked for the Australian
National Office for the Information Economy (NOIE) where she played a key
role in achieving broad consensus on the development of an industry
self-regulatory regime for the .au domain space. Erica participated in
dicussions leading up to the creation of ICANN and the development of the
ICANN Government Advisory Committee (GAC) and assisted in the establishment
of a strong Australian presence in relevant regional and global bodies.
Erica was the Australian Government representative at meetings of the ICANN
GAC and is actively involved in the Asia/Pacific TLD.

Erica is experienced in committee work - in developing and progressing
agendas, and ensuring that commercial interests are appropriately recognised
in administrative/'regulatory' frameworks.

This is the last call for nominations to fill the two vacancies that the
Registrar Constituency currently has on the Names Counsel Board. Nominations
will close at 24 GMT Tuesday the 8th.

Could these nominees please post a brief bio and qualifications paper,
listing any potential conflicts of interest.
