RE: [nc-whois] feedback/ suggested call with you
Paul, the date that was discussed at our meeting for a conference call was
Wednesday Nov. 21, not today. Does that suit your schedule (9 am EST/2 pm
GMT)?

Hello Miriam/all
Marilyn mentioned an early morning tel conf but my schedule is hectic
today until after 2000hrs GMT which I guess is 10am Pacific time when
I'm available.....

IMHO it would be best to release the survey information in it's raw
form at the same time as releasing the interim report on which
community input is sought. The community needs to participate in the
review process because the WHOIS Committee needs to operate in an open
and inclusive manner and peer review is (almost) always helpful when
drafting a report.

I have no strong views. One thing that should (needs to) occur is that
every submission is reviewed by at least one Committee. IMHO the best
way to achieve this without asking every Committee member to read every
submission (although they are free to do so if they wish) is to divide
the 3000 comments by 8 and allocate 375 to each member for review...
most do not have lengthy free text comments - I have reviewed around 600
submissions and find them quite easy to read.... One thing I asked ICANN
to do (which they didn't) was to allocate a unique number to each
submission so they can be referenced easily and also so they could be
divided amongst the Committee groups with some precision.
Hope all is going well in LA... things are hectic (but fun) here!!
Best regards to all
Paul
