Re: [nc-udrp] The Kind of Thing That Amazes
I take it then that "within weeks" means 20 days. I sit corrected. It was a
matter of several months before the NAF provided a word processor template
for Respondents after they had been offering one for Complainants, and I made
the mistake of extrapolating on the basis of past NAF behavior. Similarly,
the NAF had offered refunds to complainants under circumstances where they
had not been offered to respondents, but changed that rule only after an
article describing the practice had been published.
In the interest of not seeming unswervingly critical, I am pleased to see
that the NAF continues to make fun of people who pay their salaries by
lampooning parties with satirical headlines such as "Pocatello Becomes Hot
Potato" over a story about people who had paid several thousand dollars to
prepare, file, and lose a UDRP proceeding. As you know, I appreciate a good
sense of humor, and the chutzpa required to ridicule one's customers. The
complainant in that case no doubt found your headline to be a real
knee-slapper.
