No, engaging in incidental commercial activities to raise funds does not in any way disqualify an org from joining NCDNHC.
What we wanted to do was prevent Chambers of Commerce, INTA, or other associations of commercial interests from joining. The reason should be obvious, but I'll explain more if you require. It hasn't been a problem, as none have applied.
We have, I think, the largest active membership of all DNSO constituencies.
