Re: [nc-budget] Re: [council] Motion: Alternative Solutionstolowerthe expenses of DNSO

This has been extensively discussed and the Search Committee is currently in
the process of organising an open and competitive selection process for the
work currently being done by AFNIC. The first step was to clarify and
quantify the work done by AFNIC - the second step is to complete and publish
an RFP and tyhe third step will be to rank respondents against the selection
criteria and make a recommendation for appointment to the NC.
To ensure that the process is conducte4d in a pr5ofessional and objective
manner, a consultant will assist with the formulation of the RFP and will
rank respondents against the selection criteria. We are working toward
completing this process by ICANN Stockholm.

erica
