I was indeed already the third member of the search committee.

However, now that I am chair of the NC I would like to step down from this
to be able to be in a position for second interview etc (if required) based
on search committee recommendations.

If the search committee is currently:
Chuck (North Am)
Erica (Asia Pacific)
then the obvious third would be Elisabeth - as she has both Europe as region
and insight into the job.
