[ga-abuse] [eric@hi-tek.com: Re: [ga] Fwd: [council] Condemn Cowardly Attack]

I wish to make a formal complaint about this message as well. Abusive,
insulting, a personal attack.

   Dear Mr. Lynn,

You wax profound but you belie your true nature.

Are you ready to ensure that the AT LARGE receives its' allotted
   seats?

Are you ready to ensure that the general populace has a right to
representation, as opposed to political restrictions you seem inclined
   to impose?

In short Mr. Lynn your insincerity proceeds you like a rabid dog. Do
   *********************************************************************
not claim to be one of the caring when your every action speaks the

   opposite.

Where were you when my brothers lost domain names and property rights
to IP manipulated WIPE? Where we you when they shut off the
inclusiveness of the WG-Review? Where were you when my sisters lost
50K on a lottery which was politically manipulated? Where were you
when the attacked our friends and comrades with other roots? Where
were you when they granted Palestine a ccTLD and denied others?

You smell bad and the odor is of an opportunist. My dotcommoners read

Dear Asaad: Thank you for your thoughtful note. I am sure that I
speak for everyone in the ICANN community that we are appalled by
the hateful emails you have been receiving. The ignorant bigotry
they represent has no place in our ICANN world. Terrorism, as you
point out, has nothing to do with Islaam. Timothy McVeigh, who blew
up the Federal building in Oklahoma City in the U.S., was neither a
Muslim nor an Arab. It is a sad commentary that before McVeigh was
identified, some people here in the U.S. immediately assumed it was
a terrorist from the Middle East who was responsible. As you
rightly point out, stereotyping is not an acceptable substitute for
tolerance, education and understanding. If there is any small
silver lining to the terribly tragic events of last week, it is
that it has brought people together from across the world
regardless of religion, culture, nationality, or other individual
preferences. The note from you and your AINC colleagues has
contributed to that. The events brought home to all of us that we
are all human beings who live on a small and fragile planet that
cannot tolerate bigotry, hatred, and evil. Many thanks to the AINC
Executive Council for sharing your collective feelings with us. I
am sure we all appreciate it. Stuart

On behalf of the Executive Council of AINC ( Arabic Internet Names
Consortium) we issued the attached statement.

AINC strongly and unanimously condemns and denounces the vicious
inhuman attacks perpetrated against innocent civilians in the U.S.
this week. These attacks and the ideologies behind them are
absolutely diametrically opposed to the teachings of all religions
     and to our cultural values.

Taking human life gratuitously is an extremely grave sin as you see
in the Qur'anic verse which reads: "Whosoever kills a human being
for other than manslaughter or corruption on the land shall be as
if he has killed all mankind, and whosoever saves the life of one,
it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind,_"_
     (Al-Ma'idah:32)_._

Our response to the hatred emails that we received earlier today is
that we understand and share the sender's pain and indignation; and
we are equally appalled at what transpired this past Tuesday.
However, we should not give in to ignorant stereotyping and racial
and cultural bigotry. Islam, the religion of tolerance, whose very
name derives from the word "peace", holds the human soul in high
esteem, and considers the attack against innocent human beings a
grave sin, You can find a multitude of verses in the Holy Qur'an
     that are to this effect.

May God bless the souls of all our dead and grant all of the
families with peace and patience and the strength to overcome
sorrow. Our hearts and prayers to the families and we ask God to
grant the World with Peace and Prosperity.

     Sincerely,
