[ga-abuse] Re: DNSO ML's posting limit "Warning"

Hi Jeff

Sorry for the delay. AFAICT you are correctly subscribed to all of the
lists. Where you seem to have exceeded the limit is on the GA list. If you
have a look at the archives for GA you will see that this has happened. I
have not submitted a complaint but I do think the issue has been raised with
the list monitors.

You can see the last two pages of the GA archives as follows:
http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc07/mail38.html
http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga/Arc07/mail39.html

There is a limit of 5 posts per day for each list as follows:

GA-ROOTS Alternate Roots
GA-UDRP UDRP and Trade Marks
GA-SYS Registration Systems like WHOIS
GA-ICANN Anything to do with ICANN, SOs or Constituencies
GA-RULES Issues such as Lists, GA Rules, Elections etc.
GA General Purpose. Anything not covered in above.

You have said there are too many lists and I agree. There is also a
GA-REVIEW but I am asking for that to be discontinued. But the system is
not too hard and I'm sure people will get used to it soon.

I would remind you, however, that combining any TWO lists in the same post
will result in the posting being bounced. You will not necessarily be
advised that this has happened.

If you wish to write to the list monitors, you can send an email to
GA-ABUSE. This is not a general purpose facility and should only be used
for official business relating to complaints. Again you should not
cross-post with other mailing lists.

The easiest solution is to do what I do (on this email for example) which is
address your email to the relevant person with a copy to the relevant list.

Best regards
Patrick Corliss
