[ga-abuse] Number of complaints outstanding
At the moment, I count 42 outstanding complaints.
I still have some homework to do (finding the archive URLs for the last 20
or so complaints), but after that, I will, as promised, ship the list to
the ga-abuse list, acting as M1.
I would suggest that the other moderators pick one complained-about name
(there are 13 names in the complained-about list) to pass judgment on, and
write a summary of all outstanding complaints about that name, with judgment.
(a brief note saying "I will take NN" to the ga-abuse list might be a Good
Thing - it can take time to write the note).
Some numbers were interesting, though:
- William Walsh and Eric Dierker led the number of complaints against them,
unsurprisingly, with 10 and 11 complaints respectively.
- 23 of the complaints (more than half) were generated by Patrick Corliss.
The runners-up are Dave Crocker and Joe Kelsey, with 5 each.
As you will see, I have consistently advocated warnings for all the cases
where I found offense, except for Eric Dierker, who I think has had enough
warnings; "one warning before ban" would seem to be a reasonable policy.
